The Questions Didn't Destroy My Faith. They Changed What I Could See.
I'm Bryan Bartels. For more than thirty years I've been thinking about Christianity, theology, technology, psychology, culture, and meaning. Not as separate subjects, but as one connected landscape.
My own journey moved through four stages. Deconstruction — the old framework coming apart. Disintegration — the floor giving way. Discovery — finding, beneath the rubble, something older and sturdier than what I'd lost. And Reintegration — rebuilding forward, not backward.
This project is not about pretending difficult questions don't exist. It is about following those questions deeply enough to discover whether something more profound exists beneath the religious language people often reject.
Why This Project Exists
We are living through a collapse of meaning—religious, cultural, and technological at once. The old symbols are still standing, but for many they point to nothing. This is an attempt to recover what they pointed toward, without pretending the collapse didn't happen.
